How we choose alternatives
A site is listed as an alternative when it offers what you go to the first site for. Who runs it is a separate fact. Each page shows both, and keeps them apart.
An example
Jackpotjoy is a bingo site, so its alternatives are sites with bingo on record.
Double Bubble Bingo and Virgin Games have that and run on the same licence as Jackpotjoy. Foxy Bingo, Kitty Bingo, Mecca Bingo and Gala Spins have it too, on other licences.
MONOPOLY Casino, Rainbow Riches Casino and Bally Bet share Jackpotjoy's licence but are not listed as alternatives for bingo. They appear under who runs Jackpotjoy, not in the comparison.
How alternatives are chosen
- The product comes first. Each brand is recorded as one kind of site: bingo site, slots site, casino, sportsbook or poker room. An alternative must have that product on record: bingo for a bingo site, sports betting for a sportsbook, poker for a poker room, casino games or slots for a casino or slots site.
- The same rule for every brand. A sister site is held to it exactly as any other site is. Sharing a licence, or sharing other parts of a menu, never makes up for not having the product.
- A different kind of site can qualify. A sportsbook with a poker product can be an alternative to a poker room. It is compared on its poker, and it is listed only when our records describe that product.
- Fewer when there are fewer. A page shows up to six full comparisons, and at most two from any one other licence holder. Where only three or four sites qualify, the page shows three or four.
- Order is not a ranking. Sites of the same kind come first, then other kinds. Nothing is scored, rated or called closest, and no site has been tested.
- The brand itself has to be on record. If we do not know what kind of site a brand is, or what is on its menu, its page names no alternatives until we do. What a licence permits is not used as a guess at what a site offers.
On record, not on record, and not offered
Every statement about what a site has comes from a dated record of the site's own pages. Three cases are kept apart:
- On record: the record shows the site offers it.
- Not offered: the record states the site does not have it. Only then does a page say so.
- Not on record: the record is silent. A page leaves it out, and never treats silence as absence.
Welcome offers are shown with the date they were recorded, only for the product the page is about, and are dropped once the record is two months old.
Ownership, kept separate
Sister sites are gambling sites run on one licence. Every gambling business licensed in Great Britain has an account on the Gambling Commission's public register, and the register lists the website addresses each account operates. Two brands are shown as sister sites here when both have a live address on the same account. Shared games, software or design do not count.
- The copy of the register in use is dated 5 October 2026. Each brand page links to its register entry.
- A different licence holder is reported as a different licence holder. It is not presented as proof that two companies are unconnected.
- A brand that is alone on its licence account here is described that way. It is not said to have no sister sites, because one owner can hold several licences.
- Brands on the same licence that are not alternatives are listed under who runs the brand, with a link to the group's page.
White labels
The register marks some addresses as white labels. A white label is a brand that runs under another company's licence, and the licence holder is responsible for it. MONOPOLY Casino is one: the register lists monopolycasino.com as a white label on Gamesys Operations Limited's licence. A white label is still a sister site of the other brands on that licence.
What this site does not tell you
- Which site is best. A listing is not a recommendation.
- How fast a site pays out, how its support behaves, or anything else that would need an account to find out.
- Whether an account, a bonus or a self-exclusion at one site carries over to its sister sites.
- Anything about sites licensed outside Great Britain.
Sites change. Treat every detail as a guide and the site's own pages as the source.
Quick answers
What makes a site an alternative?
It has to offer what people go to the first site for. An alternative to a poker room has poker; an alternative to a bingo site has bingo. A site without that product on record is not listed as an alternative, whoever owns it.
Does a sister site count as an alternative?
Only if it offers the same thing. Sister sites run on one licence and can be quite different kinds of site. Those that are not alternatives are listed separately, under who runs the brand.
Does being alike mean two sites are related?
No. Many sites on different licences offer the same kind of games and buy them from the same suppliers. Two brands are called sister sites here only when the register lists both on one licence account.
Does a different licence mean two sites are unrelated?
Not necessarily. It means the register shows two different licence holders. One owner can hold more than one licence, so a different licence holder is reported as exactly that and nothing more.
What does "not on record" mean?
That our records do not show it. It does not mean a site lacks it. A site is said not to offer something only where a record states that.
Why are there no links to the casinos?
This site compares; it does not send you anywhere. It carries no links to gambling sites and no sign-up buttons, and the pictures of sites are pictures only.
